Setting up, packing down, or just being someone friendly to talk to while people work out whether they're brave enough to pick something up.
Get involved

There's no minimum and no commitment. Pick whatever suits what you've actually got.
Pass on something you know
Restringing a guitar, tuning a drum, running a desk, reading a chart. It doesn't have to be teaching — showing one person one thing is plenty.
Offer a place to set up
A hall, a market stall, a driveway, a shaded corner of a park. If people already gather there, it'll probably work.
Donate an instrument or gear
Working or broken. It goes through Instrument Rebirth and ends up with someone who'll use it.
Put something on the site
A classified entry, your own entry on People's Music, a recording for Nature's Music. All free, all yours to change later.
Tell somebody
The person most likely to get something out of a pop-up is usually the one who'd never look for it. Word of mouth does more here than anything else.
